Basically this is a self-policing community where we applaud honest, accurate, and helpful submissions and frown upon misconduct and abuse (writing five star reviews of your own restaurant, posting pointless comments, or spamming). People express this by voting and votes affect your rank. Your rank reflects your contributions and their reception in your community. The community is yours, and the better you protect it the better it becomes.
